--------The God of This Age or World System-------

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, they caused this world system to come under the authority of Satan. Scripture tells us that Satan is the God of this age. 2 Corinthians 3 & 4 state 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

I am celebrating my 47th birthday today. Ironically, birthdays are the most celebrated "holidays" of a Satanist. Satanism is all about self. The supreme command of the Satanic Bible is "Do what thou wilt". A Satanist will celebrate his/her birthday by doing whatever they desire even if those desires are sinful. The supreme command of the Bible is "Love your neighbor as yourself". The Bible teaches you to put others above yourself.

What is the root of all sin? The Bible tells us it is the love of money. However, the love of money is rooted in selfishness. All of us are sinners and we are born that way. When a child is brought into this world that child has to be taught to share and think of others. Babies have the undivided attention of their parents as they demand to be fed, burped, and changed. From a baby's viewpoint, the universe centers around them. As they mature, they discover (sometimes to their horror) that they universe does not revolve around them.

Adults who are self-centered and want everything for themselves have not spiritually matured. Satan is their God. It is easy to point to people like the mafia and say their master is definitely Satan. But what makes Satan their master? Look at how they live. Their viewpoint is to take and take some more. This is always at the expense of others. They mistakenly think that by controlling others that they have power but this is just an illusion. They are slaves to sin and Satan. Their is nobody they can trust and they are always watching their backs. Their lives, in essence, becomes a living hell but they deny it because they are rich in material goods and have deceived themselves into thinking they have all they need.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matt. 16:26 Gangsters, mafia, criminals, murderers, rapists, and thieves are very selfish in nature because their master is Satan. Their lives are both hell on earth and hell hereafter.

The reason we have homosexuals wanting their lifestyle approved and even being allowed to be clergy is that they are selfish. They want to do what they want to do and never mind that God says its wrong. They justify their behavior by rationalizing it and blaming others or even claiming they were born that way and can't help themselves. Yes, they were born sinners just like everyone else but their homosexuality is because they refuse to allow God in their lives. Adam blamed the woman for his sin and Eve blamed the serpent for hers. Neither accepted the fact that they were responsible.

If Satan was the not the god of this age, how would things be different? For one there would be no jails or prisons because there would be no criminals. Hospitals would cease to exist because no one would ever get sick. There would be no poor people as the wealth of the world would be shared instead of hoarded. Undertakers would be out of work since no one would die anymore.

The end of Satan's reign began when Jesus went to the cross. Satan is the god of this age but you don't have to worship him. Everyone has the choice to follow the god of this age or the God of the age to come whom we call Jesus. As we celebrate Independence Day, you can celebrate your own freedom from sin by choosing Jesus. The choice is yours.
