Natural disasters have risen 400% in the last two decades according to http://www.naturalnews.com/023362.html. In the 1980s there were about 120 per year worldwide. Today there is 500 per year. And it is going to increase. Why? Because the sea and the waves roaring is one of prophetic signs that herald the return of Jesus Christ. The ocean currents have a dramatic effect on weather patterns.

Tornadoes are wreaking havoc in the United States in 2008. 54 people were killed in February in the southeast USA from a deadly tornado outbreak. This past week a tornado struck a boy scout camp in Iowa killing 4 boys. It has been a record year for tornado touchdowns in the United States in 2088

The Midwest USA has seen record flooding. The weather is wreaking havoc on people's lives. Burma suffered the deadliest natural disaster in their recorded history when cyclone Nargis struck leaving 90,000 dead and over 56,000 missing. That is a huge death toll. This year isn't even half over.

God is trying to get the world's attention by allowing these things to happen. How does the world respond? They ignore the prophetic word completely and blame all the natural disasters on global warming which they believe is caused by man. God is not even in the picture

You will never hear the media say, "Well the bible says the weather would get really freaky as the return of Christ draws near. We better get ready to meet our maker." Instead they invent their own reasons for the weather chaos. God is not even considered. Instead the world cries out to their governments to do something about global warming so these disasters will stop. How foolish.

as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 1:7

One of the great sins of Sodom and Gomorrah was their rampant homosexuality. The sins of these cities were great because the sexual perversions of the people led to other sins as well such as rape, murder, and theft.

The increase in this kind of behavior is one of the signs pointing to Christ's soon return.

The Canadian government has ordered a Christian pastor to renounce his faith and never again express moral opposition to homosexuality, according to a new report. In a decision handed down just days ago in the penalty phase of the quasi-judicial proceedings run by the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, evangelical pastor Stephen Boisson was banned from expressing his biblical perspective of homosexuality and ordered to pay $5,000 for "damages for pain and suffering" as well as apologize to the activist who complained of being hurt. Notice that the sin of homosexuality is a tool that governments are employing to get people to "renounce their faith". Why would any government care about a person's faith? Because Satan rules this present age and he controls all governments. Satan's plan is to keep people away from the truth.

The bible is very clear, homosexuality is a sin. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. Lev. 18:22 The fact that the people can't decide whether homosexuality is a sin or not reflects the people's outright ignorance or rejection of the word of God. This is exactly what Satan wants.

In 1969, there were 7 significant earthquakes worldwide according to the USGS. In the decade of the 1970's, there were 44 significant earthquakes. In the decade of the 1980's there were 47 signifcant earthquakes. In the decade of the 1990's there were 57 major earthquakes...a slight increase. In 2002, there were 42 major earthquakes. Just one year almost had as many as the entire decade of the 1970's. In 2003 there were more than 70 significant earthquakes which is more than the entire decade of the 1990's. In 2004, there were 94 major earthquakes worldwide. The fact that the number of major earthquakes is occurring more frequently is obvious. In 2005 there were 51 major quakes and 2006 there were only 33. Last year there were 56 major quakes worldwide. The first 5 months of 2008 has seen 25 major quakes occur with a really deadly one in China.

What is the greatest sign of Christ's return? The existence of Israel for that is where Christ will set up His throne and Israel has been in existence now for 60 years. I could write a book about all the prophecies concerning Israel but the one that stands out to me is what Christ said after He enumerated signs of His return, "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place." Jesus was referring to the fig tree being in bloom and careful study of scripture identifies Israel as the fig tree. Israel has been in bloom for 60 years now. The question we must ask and don't have a clear cut answer for is, "How long is a generation?" It could be over 100 years and it could be less. In either case, you should be ready to meet God.
