-----------Black Horse of The Apocalypse--------

The white horse of the apocalypse. the apocalypse being the events that lead up to the revealing of Christ to the world, is none other than the Antichrist and possibly the spirit of Antichrist. He comes to power through diplomacy and promises of peace but really honors the god of war.

The red horse of the apocalypse is the one that causes world war III and reveals the true nature of the antichrist. This brings us to the black horse of the apocalypse. Black is symbolic of death and darkness. White is a symbol of purity but the rider on the white horse is an impostor. Red is the symbol for blood and much blood is shed because of the true nature of the rider on the white horse is revealed.

Revelation 6 tells us 5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come and see." So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine."

What is the natural result of war? Crops are destroyed, workers are killed, factories are shut down or destroyed, and inflation is rampant. When you look back to World War II, the residents of the United States couldn't go to the store and buy 10 lbs of sugar. Sugar was rationed. Gas and rubber were also rationed. The United States put a freeze on prices to control inflation. The war affected the lives of everyone.

Hitler was a type of antichrist. He came to power because of his ability to speak. Arno Froese, publisher of the magazine Midnight Call and a German, said that all of the people that he had ever encountered who knew Adolf Hitler, none had ever said they hated Hitler. World War II was a preview of Revelation Chapter 6. I'm sure many people of that day thought it was the tribulation period.

However, there was one problem with that. Israel did not exist at the time. The Bible calls the tribulation period "the time of Jacob's trouble" Jacob is another name for Israel. However, Hitler was trying to annihilate the Jewish race. What was the direct result of Word War II? Israel became a nation.

Since the tribulation centers around Israel, what is Satan (through the antichrist) trying to accomplish? The extermination of the nation of Israel. What will be the result of World War III? Israel will become the center and capital of the world.

Food will be very hard to come by during the tribulation. It will take a day's wages just to buy a loaf of bread. This means that many people will become malnourished.

Notice that the scripture says do not harm the oil and the wine Oil and wine are luxuries. While most of the world will struggle just to survive, there will be a rich few who will want their drunken parties and the luxurious vehicles to get them there. In our world today, many of the rich get that way at the poor person's expense. During the tribulation, there will be those who profit from the war effort.

How do the rich get rich at the expense of the poor person? I'll give you two examples. Establishments that allow you to borrow a couple of hundred dollars against your next paycheck then charge you 30% for the privilege. You have to pay the money back within 30 days. Basically, they are saying, "Here is $200 to do with as you wish, but you have to give us $260 back". The only people who use these services are ones struggling to make ends meet. The wealthy don't need these services. This is one example of the rich getting richer at the poor person's expense.

A factory worker or a restaurant worker that are sports fanatics are victimized by the rich. Pro players make hundreds of thousands of dollars to play a game which entertains the masses. The worker who brings home $300 a week if he or she is lucky, will pay over $50 for one ticket just for the privilege of watching his favorite team play. Most people will not attend games alone so they will buy 2 tickets at least. That is $100 just to watch someone play a sport. That is not the end of if either. Many will drive at least an hour sometimes to get to the stadium just to watch their team play. So add the cost of fuel to the price of a ticket. It's bad enough that they had to pay good money just to watch their favorite team or player, then they discover they must pay an exorbitant fee for the privilege of parking their vehicle. While they are at the game, they will want a snack. They discover that stadium food is about 5 times the cost of what they would pay for it at the grocery store. Let's not forget the must have souvenir as they leave the games. That $30 shirt only cost $5 or less to produce.

This worker spent an entire week of his/her working life just for the privilege of being entertained for 3 hours. Who benefits here? You guessed it, the rich. I just wonder if during the tribulation period a man will let his family starve for the privilege to watch a man throw a ball.
